The second round of qualifying for the 2027 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup has concluded, with Sin City FC as the last NISA Nation team still in the competition. Sin City FC defeated SWPL side STG Premier FC 3-1 on Saturday at Mater Academy East High School Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. Daniel Rangel scored the opening goal for Sin City FC before STG Premier equalized just before halftime. In the second half, Miguel Higareda's goal pulled Sin City FC back into the lead. Higareda added another goal late in the second half as Sin City FC secured the victory and moved on to the third round of 2027 U.S. Open Cup qualifying.
Capo FC fell 2-0 to DC Monsters of the SWPL on Saturday at Vista Hermosa Sports Park in San Clemente, CA. Singha Antonio De La Cruz and Norberto Ochoa Orejel scored for DC Monsters to prevail over the NISA Nation side and advance to the next round of qualifying.
NISA Nation returns to action this weekend with three matches. On Saturday, STG Premier Pro will host the Los Angeles Force at Snow Canyon Stadium. On Sunday, Sin City FC faces the Los Angeles Force at Mater Academy East High School Stadium, while Capo FC takes on Problems FC at University High School Stadium.
