CHICAGO (September 12, 2023) – The National Independent Soccer Association announced its August Performers of the Month awards. Determined by a select set of NISA front office staff, the honorees are:

• Player of the Month: Player who demonstrated his abilities on the field above and beyond any other player in the league
  • Aldo Quintanilla of Los Angeles Force (LAF) had strong showings across the month of August for a club that didn’t lose any of its four matches. Importantly, the midfielder paced the club in its 4-0 home win against Club de Lyon FC with a hat trick.

• Coach of the Month: Coach who led his team to significant results and led by example both on and off the field
  • LAF head coach Matt Morse led the club to a pair of wins and a pair of ties in the club’s four August matches. Along with the strong showing, the club moved up a spot in the table to fourth.

• Club of the Month: An off the field award to the Club that best promoted their brand and image within their local community
  • Club of the Month honors go to Flower City Union (FCU). In August, FCU hosted a week-long camp in partnership with Dick's Sporting Goods House of Sport, executed “Kids Night Out” stadium attractions on August 5; had a fan engagement presence at the Beach Soccer Tournament at Lake Ontario Beach Park, Pups At The Pitch with Paws and Claws Pet Care supporting a few local pet charities; and players volunteered at the Gates Recreation Youth Summer Camp.

• Operations Team of the Month: Awarded to the Game Day Operations staff who best embraced and followed the league standards set forth by the league office
  • FCU also earned Ops Team of the Month honors as the growing organization saw its three highest attendance marks tallied in August. This included the club record of 1,112 fans in attendance on August 5 – a 2-0 win against Maryland Bobcats. The ops team includes Casey Catlin, Vice President of Sales & Marketing; Logan Adams, Operations Manager; Nina Korn, Director of Digital Content & Marketing; Mark Washo, Managing Partner.
